Friperie Élysie

A poster for a vintage clothing event, watercolour-illustrated like a page from a fashion sketchbook.

Friperie Élysie

The context

Friperie Élysie is holding a second-hand clothing sale day in Paris on a Saturday in September. Its customers: fans of sustainable fashion and one-of-a-kind pieces who follow the shop on Instagram.

The challenge

Announce the event elegantly, far from the bargain-sale look of typical clothes swaps, and make people want to come and browse.

The idea

A watercolour clothes rack — straw hat, wicker bag, sage dress, ankle boots — on a linen background, like a page from a stylist’s sketchbook. A rounded retro title, and only the essentials: date, time and city.

The spirit of a fashion sketchbook

The illustration does all the work: the clothes alone say “vintage shop”, and the watercolour style suggests hand-picked pieces. Soft, natural colours evoke sustainable fashion, and the retro title adds a proud vintage touch.

The outcome

A delicate poster that stands out in the street and positions the shop on the side of curated fashion rather than a simple clothes sale. Concept project: shop and event are fictional.
